Description

The theory of stochastic processes indexed by a partially ordered set has been the subject of much research over the past twenty years. The objective of this CIME International Summer School was to bring to a large audience of young probabilists the general theory of spatial processes, including the theory of set-indexed martingales and to present the different branches of applications of this theory, including stochastic geometry, spatial statistics, empirical processes, spatial estimators and survival analysis. This theory has a broad variety of applications in environmental sciences, social sciences, structure of material and image analysis. In this volume, the reader will find different approaches which foster the development of tools to modelling the spatial aspects of stochastic problems.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many pages are in Topics in spatial stochastic processes?

This edition of Topics in spatial stochastic processes has approximately 253 pages. Please note, this is an estimate and the exact page count can vary between hardcover, paperback, and e-book versions.

How long does it take to read Topics in spatial stochastic processes?

For most readers, Topics in spatial stochastic processes typically takes between 5h 16m and 3h 31m to complete. This is based on the book's length of approximately 63,250 words and common reading speeds.

Here's a detailed breakdown: • Continuous reading at 250 WPM: approximately 4h 13m of focused reading • Casual reading (30 minutes/day): you could finish in roughly 9 days • Estimated word count: 63,250 words

Your individual reading time will vary based on your personal reading pace, the amount of daily reading time, and your familiarity with the subject matter.

What is the word count of Topics in spatial stochastic processes?

The estimated word count for Topics in spatial stochastic processes is approximately 63,250 words. This figure is calculated using industry-standard methods that consider genre-specific word density patterns, typical formatting and layout characteristics, and standard words-per-page ratios for published books.

This is an approximation — actual word count may vary based on font size, formatting, edition, and the presence of illustrations or charts.

Who is the author of Topics in spatial stochastic processes?

Topics in spatial stochastic processes was written by Summer School on Spatial Stochastic Processes (2001 Martina Franca, Italy), Vincenzo Capasso, B. Gail Ivanoff.
