Cette interprétation, entendue un soir sur les ondes de France Inter alors que j'étais élève en classes préparatoires aux grandes écoles, m'a fortement marqué. Les mots m'attirèrent immédiatement. Ils décrivaient une image familière, me renvoyaient à un paysage intérieur longtemps parcouru. Et j'y sentis quelque chose de joyeux et de souriant qui me parlait directement. À une époque où Internet n'existait pas plus que les podcasts, je ne pus retrouver cette chanson. Elle resta longtemps à l'état de souvenir heureux. L'année suivante, je me mis à dévorer toute l'oeuvre de Boris Vian. Il devint presque mon modèle. N'était-il pas ingénieur, lui aussi, et écrivain, poète, musicien, artiste. Aujourd'hui, en relisant ce texte du poète, je suis surpris d'y retrouver de nombreux éléments de ma sculpture : les os, les rats, le cerveau, l'obsession du temps...
