Als der Maler Fichte im Juni 2002 nach Deutschland zurückkehrte, fand er sein Berliner Atelier unverändert. Fichte sah als allererstes Julian Payaam, seinen Sohn. Dann prüfte er seine bisherige Arbeit, erst monatelang in Berlin, daraufhin in Wisetka. Es galt zu sichten, was hält. In dem umgestalteten Bunker und einem auf das Kliff führenden Streifen Wald soll dem Maler ein lebenslanges Arbeitsrecht eingeräumt werden. Dafür hätten nach seinem Tod all jene Werke ins Eigentum des polnischen Staates überzugehen, die sich von Land und Bunker nicht ohne Zerstörung ablösen lassen.
