In den Morgenstunden des 27. September 1940 halten fünf tarngrün angestrichene Autobusse der Gemeinnützigen Krankentransport-Gesellschaft (Gekrat) am Portal des Katharinenhofes im sächsischen Großhennersdorf. Dem Personal ist mitgeteilt worden, daß es die von der Inneren Mission der Evangelischen Kirche verwaltete „Landesanstalt für bildungsunfähige und schwachsinnige Kinder“ zu räumen habe. Für „Volksdeutsche“ aus dem Osten, Bessarabiendeutsche, die nach dem Hitler-Stalin-Pakt „heim ins Reich“ umgesiedelt werden. Auf den Listen des Gekrat-Personals stehen 173 Namen, 104 Jungen und 69 Mädchen. „KINDERMATERIAL“ zeichnet den Weg dieser Kinder nach, die als „lebensunwertes Leben“ durch die Nationalsozialisten ermordet wurden. Es gibt den Opfern ihre Gesichter und ihre Namen zurück und benennt die Täter sowie die Ziele dieser „planwirtschaftlichen Maßnahme“, in deren Ergebnis der Katharinenhof „freigeräumt“ war auch für jene zu internierenden Elsässer, deren Angehörige sich dem Kriegsdienst in der Wehrmacht entzogen hatten. Mit einer DVD, darauf der Film "Tu deinen Mund auf für die Schwachen" von Heide Blum (Dt. 2000, 39 min.), Hörfeature "Am Beispiel Sengelin" von Lala Podlacha und Karl-Heinz Reiche sowie zahlreiche Literaturhinweise.
