Description

This is a wonderful book for young girls (ages 4-7). Ruth is a little girl whose parents have a doll hospital. She sees other children bring their dolls in to "get well". Her parents repair the dolls and they look beautiful when the leave the hospital. Ruth's own doll, Katy, is looking rather sick and in need of a visit. When Ruth asks them to repair Katy, they always say that "Katy will be next". When her parents see Ruth attempting to make Katy beautiful again, they realize that they need to help. They close the hospital, something that had never happened, and declare the day as "Katy comes next" day. Katy receives an overdue repair of eyes, hair, coloring and an entire new wardrobe. This book lets little girls dream of what their dolls could experience.
