This is a new version of a data collection that was previously released as ICPSR #7863. That version, done in March 1980, used the 1970 Census as a basis for determining the weight variable. After the 1980 Census was completed, a new version was prepared using the 1980 Census as a basis for the weighting. Both versions are available to users. This file, which is replicated each March, currently contains information on around 68,000 families and their members, it provides comprehensive data on the employment status, occupation, and industry of persons 14 and over including income and demographic data.
