An American painter and printmaker. She was born in Pennsylvania, but lived much of her adult life in France, where she first befriended Edgar Degas and later exhibited among the Impressionists (<a href=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Cassatt>Wikipedia</a>).
